The LPR system uses high-resolution cameras with computer vision and artificial intelligence algorithms to capture each vehicle’s license plate when entering and exiting the car park. The software identifies the characters, compares them against the database of subscribers and registered users, and automatically grants or denies access. The entire process takes place in real time, without human intervention and without the need for a physical ticket.

RAMA (Automatic License Plate Recognition) is Equinsa Parking’s proprietary LPR module. It integrates directly with the SENSE management system to automate vehicle identification in the car park. It enables license plate-based access for subscribers, occupancy and turnover control, automatic entry and exit logging, and anti-fraud management. It is compatible with the Sense PRO, Essens and Espark product ranges.

Equinsa’s systems allow mixed access modes to be configured within the same installation: automatic license plate access for subscribers and property owners, and ticket issuance for short-stay users or occasional visitors. Both modes are managed through the same central platform, with no need for duplicate infrastructure.
